News: Pinpoint accuracy from Cutting & Wear

By

Rotherham-based Cutting and Wear has recently designed and developed a new 3-point micrometer for precision measurement in mechanical engineering.

Aimed at manufactures and service companies, the company's new 3-point micrometers enable direct measurement reading of stabilisers and similar tri-bladed equipment and brings an end to the use of awkward gauges.

With tungsten carbide anvils and lightweight frames they are easy to use and eliminates the need to hoist up one end of the items to be measured.

The new micrometers are supplied with a calibration certificate and setting rod that allows a quick confirmation of calibration.

The new 3-point micrometers demonstrates the company's on-going commitment to supporting the industry with practical and innovative products.

Based at Greasbrough Road, the company specialises in the manufacture and supply of downhole tool products and services to oil service companies across the world.
