News: A sell out at Rotherham’s New York Stadium

By

Executive boxes at Rotherham United's New York Stadium have sold out as local businesses rush to become part of the club's historic new era.

All six boxes at the £20m stadium, the club's new home from the 2012/13 season, have been sold, but the Millers are keen to point out that membership to the 1925 Club, which is setting a new standard in corporate hospitality, is still available.

The 1925 Club provides members with state-of-the-art hospitality, including bar, lounge and world class restaurant facilities as well as VIP parking. Members will watch the Millers from the very best seats in the house and a number of established South Yorkshire companies have already signed up.

Tony Stewart, chairman at Rotherham United, said: "As we expected, both the executive boxes and the 1925 Club have received a lot of interest, and the boxes are now sold out for the season.

"Local businesses are as excited by the fantastic New York Stadium as I am. The 1925 Club will provide the best networking facilities in the town and members will be able to entertain clients and customers in style while watching the Millers.

"I would urge local business people to sign up to the 1925 Club as soon as possible to avoid disappointment and confirm their seats while they are still available – as these are the hottest tickets in town."

Construction work on the stadium is being ramped up to ensure that everything is ready for the first friendly on July 21. Contractors are being given permission to work longer hours and over the weekends.

Last week, new signage was installed on to the main West stand.
