News: EMSc to launch new product at conference
EMSc (UK) Ltd, the Rotherham-based manufacturer, will launch the latest addition to its innovative range of energy saving solutions at the inaugural Manufacturing Sustainability Conference in Rotherham next month.
The free to attend conference at the Magna Science Adventure Centre on Sept 18 will be delivered by EMSc (UK) Ltd, manufacturer of the Star range of energy saving solutions, in partnership with Made in Sheffield.
The Conference will provide a platform to promote innovative British manufacturing as well as to provide the manufacturing sector with comprehensive information relating to sustainability issues and ways to improve energy efficiency.
80% of spaces have already been filled and Dr Alex Mardapittas, managing director at EMSc (UK) Ltd, said: "We are delighted and overwhelmed by the response to the conference. We knew when we planned the event that there is a desire to learn more about sustainability, but we had no idea that the manufacturing sector would be this enthused about finding ways to improve energy efficiency.
"The conference will include informative case studies, stimulating debate on the future of manufacturing and an opportunity to learn from a number of leading experts. In addition, attendees can network with like-minded companies, enjoy a champagne reception and tour of one of the country's most unique attractions, and have an opportunity to win exclusive prizes."
Dr Mardapittas will be sharing his insights in a presentation on how the implementation of technologies such as voltage optimisation can help manufacturers achieve energy savings and reduce CO2 emissions.
The conference will also bring together insights from leaders and professional bodies, including the British Frozen Food Federation, environmental consultancy Blue Castle, and Rotherham manufacturing company, AESSEAL.
The event, which is the first in a series, is taking place in Sheffield and will precede MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival, kicking off four days that will celebrate British manufacturing, innovation and sustainability.
Dr Mardapittas added: "We are also very excited about collaborating with MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival, which will bring together great British inventors, designers, manufacturers, business owners, budding entrepreneurs and UK policy-makers. Delegates attending this event in addition to the Manufacturing Sustainability Conference can look forward to a valuable and interesting experience."
