News: Lucion expand with new Rotherham office

By

Health and safety risk management group Lucion Services has opened a new office in Rotherham.

Lucion Services is a group of risk management companies with unique specialisms including the surveying, identification and analysis of asbestos containing materials. The expansion comes after Lucion acquired asbestos and environmental consultancy Redhills in July.

The Gateshead-based company has grown through acquisitions and first moved into the region when it picked up industry rival AOH Limited, who were in administration in 2011. In 2013, the group acquired Maltby-based MPC Northern Ltd.

The new premises at Hellaby will be home to a team of 16 staff, including surveyors, analysts and support staff and will also serve as a base for new staff who joined the company following its acquisition of Redhills.

Ross Perratt, regional manager at Lucion, said: "We're experiencing huge demand for our services from local authorities and a range of companies from the construction, education and infrastructure sectors.

"To make sure we can meet this demand and continue to deliver a high level of service across Yorkshire, we needed a much larger office space. The new office will allow us to work more efficiently as a team while providing meeting space and a venue to host training sessions for both staff and customers.

When Lucion and Redhills came together, it formed a £25m turnover group.
