News: Education ministers see the future with u-explore
Rotherham education specialists U-Explore, impressed government ministers with their ground-breaking software on a recent visit to Hull.
25 IT Diploma students from a number of schools in the city took part in a special lesson led by U-Explore. Vernon Coaker MP watched students using the online careers, information advice and guidance tool U-Explore Interactive as part of their Diploma study and also listened to them discussing their interests and hopes for the future.
U-Explore Interactive has been successfully embedded into the 14-19 curriculum across Hull, enabling teachers to successfully deliver a number of key curriculum areas including the Diplomas, careers information, advice and guidance and enterprise education.
The software uses inspirational, reality based information from employers and employees to educate and engage young people through rich media such as video case studies, interactive magazines and 360 degree virtual tours of working environments.
Andy Pickles, Chief Executive of U-Explore, said: "The whole purpose of U-Explore Interactive is to inspire and engage young people and we are therefore thrilled that our product is supporting Hull's schools in achieving success across numerous areas of the curriculum, including the new Diploma qualifications."
Following the visit, Andy stated that the software had received an "overwhelming response from the Ministers."
