News: Major contract wins for Newburgh Engineering

By

Newburgh Engineering in Rotherham has secured a number of major contracts for the coming months.

With new contract wins in the rail, oil and gas, and nuclear sectors, commercial manager Matthew Jewitt is confident that these orders will continue to build on Newburgh's strong start to year, with this new business bringing in an additional £1.5m for the Templeborough company in 2010 / 2011.

He said: "These recent successes underline the strength in our service and also our commitment to our business partnerships. We have worked closely with our customers to develop manufacturing solutions that ensure their projects are delivered on cost without any compromise to their exacting product requirements."

The new contracts will be split between the Rotherham and Bradwell sites, and the work involves the manufacture of large, complex, safety critical component parts and assemblies.

Matthew added: "These are project critical items and Newburgh has shown yet again that we are the UK's premier manufacturer on this type of contract. Looking forwards, we have a fantastic capability and we are in an excellent position to win and deliver more contracts of this nature."

Newburgh utilises manufacturing cells, dedicated groups of resources operated by a team of multi-skilled individuals that are committed to producing a product or products for one customer.
